It is your responsibility to inform and provide us with all relevant information relating to your cat/s health and specific needs. This will ensure we manage and provide the correct care for your cat/s. This must include any sickness, illness, disease, behavioural concerns, or any other issues which may cause harm or distress to your cat/s, other boarding cats, or staff during their stay with us.

Should you withhold any information or deliberately mislead 3C’s Boarding Cattery you will be liable for any charges necessary to medically treat or rehouse your cat as well as any legal costs incurred by 3C’s Boarding Cattery as a result of your failure to notify us of these concerns or issues.

Vaccination Requirements

All cats accepted into 3C’s Boarding Cattery must show a valid up to date vaccination certificate against Feline Influenza and Feline Enteritis. We also recommend that all cats are vaccinated against the Feline Leukaemia Virus. The two primary and annual booster vaccinations must have been administered at least 14 days prior to boarding to protect your and our other resident cats from possible infection. Only vaccinated kittens can be accepted.

There will be no exceptions to this rule.

“Please note it is your responsibility to ensure that your cat/s appropriate vaccinations and or boosters are up to date. If not, we are unable to accept your cat/s into the cattery”. This is a requirement of our licence issued by Hart Borough Council.

We reserve the right to refuse any cat showing signs of ill health, contagious or infectious disease. Any cat/s showing signs of illness whilst in our care will immediately be isolated in our isolation unit or at a veterinary practice.

Fleas and Worming

We take a great deal of care to ensure that our facility remains a safe environment for our cats from fleas and worms, ensuring that your cat does not contract them here. All cats must have received appropriate flea and worming treatment within 14 days of arriving at 3C’s Boarding Cattery. We reserve the right to apply flea treatment to any cat found to have flea infestation on arrival.  If we see that worms are present whilst clearing their litter, then we will provide treatment for them. The cost of treatment will be charged to the owner.

Male Cats

Any male cat over the age of nine months, who is not neutered, cannot be accepted for boarding.

Cat Sharing

Cats sharing runs will be monitored to ensure that they continue to cohabit harmoniously. If cats are becoming stressed in a shared situation, we will assess whether moving a cat to a separate run would be beneficial and if necessary, separate the cats into individual runs. Customers will be notified and will also be responsible for any additional costs accrued as a result of this. We accept no liability for any injury resulting from contact between cats from the same household who are sharing accommodation. Only cats from the same household are permitted to share a run. Written consent is required for cats that are sharing.

Veterinary Treatment and Isolation

If a cat becomes unwell or develops signs of illness or where there is a significant change in their eating habits, water intake, faeces, or urine or where we have concerns for their health or wellbeing, we will contact you the owner to notify you of our concerns. Should we be unable to get in touch with you, we will contact your veterinary practice, or where our concerns are significant enough that we feel the cat requires immediate attention we will seek medical advice and care from your veterinary practice without your consent. If your veterinary practice is unable to provide care at the given time, we will contact our own veterinary practice.

All veterinary and other costs incurred as a result of us seeking veterinary advice or treatment will be passed onto you the owner as well as any transport charges to and from the vets. This must be paid for in full when collecting your cat.

Full payment must be made on collecting your cat/s. Charges are calculated daily, starting with the day of arrival, and include the day of departure.  There is no reduction in fees if you decide to bring your cat later than originally booked or collect your cat earlier.
